Early Lockdown

March-May, 2020

These photos were taken in New Hampshire, Brookline, and Cape Cod during the early months of COVID, when families who could be were on lockdown. I was in a portrait photography class at Mass Art taught by the incredible Rania Matar, and most of the projects we had begun weren’t able to be continued. I was very lucky to be able to be with my family during that time, and I was able to capture a lot of images of what we were up to in those months. I hope I was also able to capture a bit of the feeling of strangeness and unreality we were experiencing then as well.
